To reduce resource consumption in our daily operations and minimize its impact on the environment, all business divisions in Shui On adopt stringent environmental protection measures and constantly develop and introduce innovative and environmentally friendly techniques.

Traditionally, the construction industry is regarded as one of the environmentally unfriendly industries. In 1999, both of the Group’s two construction companies, Shui On Building Contractors Limited and Shui On Construction Company Limited, successfully obtained ISO 14001 certification for environmental management from the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency. They are also the first two companies in Hong Kong to be awarded the ISO 14001 certification by the Chinese National Accreditation Committee for Environmental Management System Certification Bodies (CACEB). The certification not only testifies to Shui On’s long term commitment to environmental protection, but also shows that our environmental management system fully meets international standards.
