The Taipingqiao Redevelopment Project
is an urban revitalization project comprising 52 hectares
of land in the city centre of Shanghai, featuring both
commercial and residential properties. The project consists
of three parts: Shanghai Xintiandi,
the world renowned retail and entertainment development;
a premium residential zone; and Corporate
Avenue, which comprises Grade A office towers, hotels
and other commercial facilities.
At the centre of the entire project is the Taipingqiao
Lake and Park, which covers an area of 44,000 square
metres. Inside the park are tall trees and low-lying
greenery, affording visitors a serene resting place.
The park also features the largest man-made lake in
downtown Shanghai with an area of 12,000 square metres.
